Thursday, October 21: LHSA Conference Attendees Arrive
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: LHSA Board meeting - Lake Sammamish Room
6 PM – 8:30 PM: Dinner with others of your choice – inside the adjoining Bellevue Square Mall there are more than 50 restaurants and 30 cafés! There are hundreds more within walking distance!
8:30 PM: Informal Meet and Greet – Cypress Lounge & Wine Bar at the Westin Hotel
Friday, October 22
8 AM: Registration & Leica-on-Loan - Registration Desk, 3rd Floor. Try out the newest Leica gear for 24 hours. Cameras and lenses galore.

8:45 AM Introduction – Keith Sbiral, LHSA President - Lake Washington Room
9 – 9:45 AM: Speaker: Leica Film Camera Inspirations & Competitors Through History with Richard Chalfan - Lake Washington Room
Richard Chalfan, former Leica Store Bellevue ambassador and lifelong Leica enthusiast and collector will discuss and demonstrate his fascinating collection of film cameras that were direct influences on and competition for Leica throughout the 20th century.
10 – 10:45 AM: LHSA Business Meeting - Lake Washington Room
10:45-10:55: Remarks from Mike Giannattasio, President, Leica Camera Inc. - Lake Washington Room
11-11:45 AM: Speaker: The Leica S for M Photographers with Philip Blair - Lake Washington Room
Leica Akademie instructor and LHSA Webinar presenter Philip Blair will share his journey from Leica M digital to the Leica S medium format camera system and highlight the unique benefits and challenges of each platform as he shows us his remarkable landscape photographs.
11:45 PM: Lunch with others of your choice – many places from which to choose!
2 – 2:50 PM – Speaker: Cheriss May – Focus on the Story - Lake Washington Room
Cheriss May is a lauded portrait and editorial photographer based in Washington, D.C. She is the president of Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW), co-chair of the photography committee at The National Press Club, an Adobe Education Leader, and an adjunct professor at Howard University, her alma mater.
2:50-3:00: Remarks from Kiran Karnani, VP Marketing, Photo Division, Leica Camera Inc. - Lake Washington Room
3 – 4:30 PM: Trade Fair –Lake Chelan & Lake Coeur d’Alene Rooms.
An annual favorite, the Trade Fair is an opportunity to haggle and huddle with your favorite Leica collectors and sellers.
5 – 7 PM: LHSA Soirée – Presented by Leica Store Bellevue and The Bellevue Collection
Join us at the Leica Store Bellevue for the LHSA Soirée. We will walk to the store and be surrounded by all the current Leica cameras, lenses, accessories, and wonderful staff. The selected images of the 2021 annual meeting photo event will have their prints on display at the Leica Store gallery!
7 PM – late: Dinner on Your Own
Saturday, October 23: Seattle
8 AM: Leica on Loan & Registration - Registration Desk, 3rd Floor.
8 AM: Continental Breakfast courtesy of LHSA - Lake Washington Room
9:10 AM: Board bus at the hotel lobby (must be pre-registered)
Meet in the hotel lobby at 9:10; buses will be parked on 6th Street
9:30-11:00 AM: Explore and Photograph Historic Pike Place Market in Seattle
11 – 12:45 PM: Lunch on your own at Pike Place Market – lots of choices!
1:00 PM: Board bus at the designated market location to return to the hotel
1:30 – 4:00 PM: Photo Show-and-Tell of your morning photos at Pike Place Market
1:30 – 2:15 PM: Select and edit your photos and pick two to share with the group
2:15 – 4:00 PM: Sandra Eisert will guide us through a discussion of your shared photos - Lake Washington Room
4:00 – 4:30 PM: Closing with Special Announcements - Lake Washington Room
6 PM – late: Reception & Banquet (hotel – must be pre-registered, pre-paid) - Lake Washington Room, including the announcement of the 2021 Grant recipient
