Join Hal, and Tom as they explore the Half Moon Bay Coast, located 25 miles south of San Francisco on Monday, July 16th.
We will meet at the Devil’s Slide south parking lot at 3:00 PM. We’ll explore the bluffs and old artillery installation just adjacent to the parking area.
From there we will move south photographing more of the coastline. We will photograph locations such as the historic Point Montara Lighthouse, Moss Beach, and the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Along with this stretch of the coast, there’ll be tidepools to explore, along with the possibility of photographing seals resting on the rocks.
When we reach Half Moon Bay, we’ll break for dinner at Pasta Moon, one of the best restaurants along the coast. After dinner, we continue our journey southward photographing more of the beaches and tidepools along the coast till we reach the Pigeon Point Lighthouse for our sunset photograph.
We hope you can join us for the exciting adventure down to the Half Moon Bay coastline. During this time of year, we can expect weather anywhere from the beautiful warm sun to moody fog and wind. We suggest you dress in layers and be prepared for all types weather.
During this six-hour excursion, we’ll show you how to use your graduated ND filters to create a soft water look. We'll also cover how to improve your composition and to improve your ability to see, and not just look.
