A Not-for-Profit Organization
LSI - Leica Society International’s mission has been designated a not-for-profit organization through section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America. This designation means contributions made to the Society are deductible as charitable contributions in the United States of America. For donations made from other countries, advice should be obtained from tax experts in that country.
Formed in 1973, LHSA - The International Leica Society provides ways for Leica camera enthusiasts to meet, talk, learn and share the mutual interests of Leica cameras. This is accomplished through in-person meetings and virtual meetings. The Society also provides educational videos and live sessions as well as a quarterly award winning publication, the “Viewfinder.” An annual financial award is also presented to a single photographer chosen from a group of applications to assist in continuing a photographic project. We are a member-supported organization and all proceeds go toward creating programs and content for our members.
The Society is governed by a board of directors and operates mostly from the work of volunteers. Financial information is available upon request and the U.S. Federal Tax Identification number is: 23-7277318. Offices are located at 14070 Proton Road in Dallas, Texas.
Please reach out to us if you are interested in making a contribution, becoming a sustaining member or providing some other type of support. You can reach Richard Rejino, the executive director, through the following methods:
