David G. SPIELMAN is a freelance photographer with over 40 years of experience. Personal work and assignments have taken Spielman to six of the seven continents. Four major books have been published of his work. Subjects on and about Southern Writers, New Orleans Musicians and two books documenting Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. Prefers B&W for his personal images. His work is diverse. as his goal is to render images that are truthful and represent what he sees. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and son.
Wilbur Norman has photographed extensively in Cuba, East Africa, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, the United States and, Upper Mustang in Himalayan Nepal. His image interests are documenting cultures facing modern-world threats that drive traditional peoples toward extinction. His photographs have been exhibited in Santa Fe, Havana and at The Louvre in Paris. He uses a Leica M10, an M246, a brace of vintage Black Paint M4s and a Fuji. Tony O’Brien’s work as a documentary photographer has appeared in many national and international publications. He is the director of the photography program at the Marion Center of Photographic Arts at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. He is the author of ‘Afghan Dreams: Young Voices of Afghanistan’ , Bloomsbury Press 2008 and ‘Light in the Desert: Photographs from the Monastery of Christ in the Desert’, the New Mexico Museum Press, 2011.
was born in Embudo, New Mexico, and grew up in Los Alamos and Chimayó. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in geography at the University of New Mexico. He has authored and provided the photographs for several books and has published articles and photographs in serial publications. He recently showed prints in the show “Lowriders, Hoppers, and Hot Rods: Car Culture of Northern New Mexico” at the New Mexico History Museum; and in “Con Cariño: Artists Inspired by Lowriders,” at the New Mexico Museum of Art. Don teaches photography and works as a writer and photographer in Santa Fe as he cultivates his lifelong interest in cultural and natural history.
